How can I help you make the most of your wedding day? Let’s keep it simple, have some fun, and create images that mean something to you.
Based in Charlotte, North Carolina.
My wife and I hired Jim to take our engagement photos and shoot our wedding day. I can say that without a doubt, it was one of the easiest and best decisions we made throughout the entire process of planning our wedding.
Hi! I’m Jim
I’m a wedding photographer based in Charlotte, North Carolina, and we live just outside of uptown near the NoDa Arts District.
My pursuit of the arts began at an early age with many creative endeavors, most notably, drums, guitar, and a fascination with cameras. As I transitioned out of the music business in my mid-twenties, cameras, and photography quickly took hold. Wedding photography allowed me to combine my love of travel, friends, and relationships all into one fantastic day. I like images that are classic, colorful, happy, and true to who my couples are.
On weekends, you can usually find me photographing events in North Carolina and South Carolina at venues like The Biltmore Estate, Duke Mansion, Separk Mansion, Boone Hall Plantation, Legare Waring House, Middleton Place, and Lowndes Grove. If you’d like to schedule a consultation or receive more information, please inquire by filling out your details on this contact form.

In November, we flew to California for an old friends wedding. Ben and Erica have been together for over 15+ years so we decided to visit a winery and photograph a little couple session out in the beautiful country and light of Southern California.
Earlier this Fall, we met up with Caroline and McCaig in downtown Charleston for their engagement session. The session began downtown with a casual look that fit perfectly with all of the Charleston’s beautiful streets and colors. After we finished downtown, we jumped in our cars and set off toward Sullivan’s Island to take in the sunset.
There’s a new picture-perfect wedding venue called The Andrews Farm out in Midland, North Carolina ready for beautiful weddings and bridal shoots alike in 2020. It’s a modern, European farmhouse built on a ton of land full of woods and golden fields. We set this shoot up with some really talented vendors to help showcase the property. I’ll be out there this Fall for a small, intimate family wedding.
