My wife and I decided to photograph boudoir because we wanted to create a photography business that empowers women to feel beautiful, confident, and extra special for the day.

IMPORTANT DETAILS

Each pose is directed 

so there's no need to worry about how to do it. Trust us - unless you're a model, no one knows what to do, that’s our job. This time is for you to relax getting your hair + makeup done, and learning how to be a model for a day. However, don’t let the pretty pictures fool you, the session will be similar to a workout because there is a lot of standing on tippy toes and stretching your limbs to elongate your body. So be prepared to work a little bit.

We will always create an environment where you feel safe and confident. All sessions require signed contracts from both parties. These images are completely protected. 

Most sessions are located at our home boudoir studio near uptown Charlotte.

What to wear? This is your session! We will send you a guide of effortless looks that tend to look best on camera, however if there is something you have in mind let’s check it out. This is definitely an interactive process. We do say no more than three outfits, it begins to get too overwhelming for all of us after that. We prefer quality over quantity.

WHY BOUDOIR?

Boudoir photography is more popular than ever these days, but sadly an overwhelming majority of it is tacky and uncomfortable. No one wants to put themselves out there in a such a special, and intimate way, only to have a photographer or makeup artist drop the ball with poor posing or an understanding of necessary skills to accentuate the female body. 

After a bottle of wine and a chat, Sabrina and I quickly realized that we want to share our 17+ years of experience to explore the beauty of boudoir photography and off a fresh experience to all women out there seeking to explore themselves. Maybe you've never thought of yourself as "sexy" or are in need of a good confidence boost? Or perhaps you're looking to surprise your groom with an extra special gift on your wedding day? FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Where do the shoots take place?

Nearly all of our shoots take place in our home studio near uptown Charlotte. In some instances, we will shoot at hotels. Please note that AirBnb and hotel costs are covered by the client. We'd be happy to offer suggestions on the best rooms/environments.

Should I get a spray tan?

Only if you absolutely must and, if that’s the case, please do it a few days before the shoot so it’s had time to settle. Cameras do not see spray tans in the same way as the human eye. You can potentially look far too orange, or have discolored blotchy skin in places. If you show up to your session with a fresh spray tan please understand that we retain the right to cancel/postpone the session because those skin tones can not be corrected completely in editing.

Do all sessions include hair and makeup?

While we recommend sessions that include hair and makeup to complete the total “look”, you’re more than welcome to come ready-to-go. If you choose to have it done by Sabrina and Charisse, you’ll start with them once you arrive. This also includes false lashes. Please arrive with clean, dry hair and no makeup.

Does the session fee include any products?

Your session fee covers one-on-one guidance and preparation, hair and makeup styling, up to three wardrobe changes and the necessary time to photograph the boudoir session. We'll also review all of your image options, albums, print boxes, and available wall art.

Do you shoot boudoir for men?

While we believe anyone should be able to partake in boudoir photography, we do not photograph men, or couples boudoir, at this time.

How long is the boudoir session?

Our sessions typically last about 2.5 hours. A safe estimate is one hour for hair + makeup and 1.5 hours for photography.
